The infamous Beauty Blender, a teardrop-shaped sponge that allows you to apply and blend your foundation, concealer and creamy make up flawlessly.
The beauty blender is honestly great. It is a small sponge that expands in size when you soak it into water. It is a really soft sponge that makes your make up look flawless! I honestly think it's better than a foundation brush and kabuki brush (They leave streaks).
You'll see when you search on eBay or Aliexpress related sites that it's super cheap and is in the same/similar packaging as the real deal and is also a teardrop-shaped sponge. However, leave you disappointed when you run it under water and go to use it. A lot of dupes I have tried are:
- Hard
- Does not expand in size when you soak it under water
To be honest, it's a hit or miss on Aliexpress/eBay. But what I found very useful with Aliexpress are the reviews for the listing. Usually people will post pictures and their thoughts, so it's a good indicator too.
I've only purchased the 'Rose Red' so I can't say for the other sponges in the listing. I also have the 'Rose gold' beauty sponge holder. It's really good to allow the beauty blender to dry out.

I have the real beauty blender and their are some differences.
- The height of the packaging
- The shape of the actual sponge
Cons with the one I linked above:
- Never really goes back to its original size - But enough to go back into its packaging
- Dupe from eBay - went back to its original size
- When you wash it with soap and squeeze it - hardly any foundation comes out.
- With the dupe I got from eBay - it was really close to the genuine one i.e. when you wash foundation colour (brown) comes out instead of clear/very light brown colour
I tried to purchase the beauty blender from that eBay seller but the listing is no longer avaliable nor is the seller. I've also tried purchasing beauty blenders from other eBay sellers and it was really crap. So this Aliexpress is pretty darn close!
For the price and value, it's definitely worth purchasing the Aliexpress and giving it a try if you want to try the beauty blender if you can't justify spending US $20 vs US $1.08.
